Live Dublin v Westmeath on TV - Dublin vs Westmeath live stream - Leinster GAA Football Final 17 july 2016

Live Dublin v Westmeath football online - Leinster SFC - Dublin v Westmeath h2h online stream broadcast , Dublin vs Westmeath live stream - Leinster GAA Football Final live streaming 17 july 2016 live coverage on Irish TV Dublin face Westmeath tomorrow in the Leinster Senior Football Championship final in Croke Park. Jim Gavin has today named his team, and the big omission is James McCarthy.
Nonetheless it is a ridiculously strong side.
Jim Gavin’s men are rated 15 points better than their opponents by bookmakers ahead of tomorrow, and it is not difficult to see why after facile wins over Laois and Meath.
Dublin beat Westmeath at the same stage last year, but the fact that Westmeath are here for a second time suggests that they may be more competitive tomorrow at Headquarters.
It will be interesting to see how the Lake County deal with the Dublin full-forward line of Dean Rock, Diarmuid Connolly and Bernard Brogan. If they stop the Dubs scoring goals, they will certainly have a chance, but will be up against it facing the All-Ireland champions.
Dublin v Westmeath, Croke Park, 4pm – RTE
By any metric, this year’s Leinster Senior Football Final looks like a contest of unequals.
In one corner you have Dublin, the reigning All-Ireland Champions and four-in-a-row League champions, who are gunning for an 11th provincial title in 12 years.
In the other is a Westmeath side that suffered a third Allianz League relegation in a row this year and will play in Division Four next year.
The gulf between the two teams in terms of recent success seems unbridgeable even in a once-off contest, but the Westmeath players and management have made it very clear they are not coming to Croke Park to make up the numbers.
They’ve proven they’re a Championship team by reaching the Leinster Final for the second-year running, and they’ll be better prepared for the challenge of playing Dublin this year than they were last.
In 2015 they came to Croke Park simply to survive and so retreated into a very defensive shell. This year they’ve promised to go on the attack and take the game to Dublin. That attitude is laudable, but they’ll need to get the balance right. Because if they commit too many men forward and Dublin consistently turn over the ball in the middle third, then it could get ugly for the Lake County.
