Elliot Turner has written a great summary of the conference.  You can find it at:  As recalled by Elliot, one of the more interesting stories that Ed Thorp told was concerning a student at Duke University who got interested in Ed's ideas about risk.  He decided to apply them both in casinos and in the markets.  The student turned out to be Bill Gross, founder of PIMCO, the largest bond management fund in the world.

I too have read that summary what he has written on that day conference. As it was said by the organizers they have uploaded the video tapes of conference in rush essay blog. After read that summary and watching video I felt really bad that I missed a good conference which is worth listening to it.
